The relation between Truth and Logic is intriguing. Logic asks for empirical evidence to prove truth and the inferences drawn in absence of such evidence. The fact that truth is in itself complete and unique renders no place for arguments. Logic is often used and that is what gets us into that shade of grey but truth does not exist there sure life does but all that one pursues is to get to that transparency where light permeates and truth exists. That is the sole aim of religion, spirituality and whatever value system one adheres to.
The character depiction of Yudhisthira in Mahabharat where he compromises with truth of the situation to win the war cannot be a fair example. Harishchandra sets an example where truth wins but what he goes through is synonymous with the kind of atrocities one has to cope with to tread the path of truth. The proverb, it is often easier to fight for principles than to live them holds the key. Awareness and resolve is required. The understanding and not mere imitation to the fact that good is what unites and bad is what divides should prevail.
