A few things that 2014 taught me.

A few things 2014 taught me
A few things 2014 taught me
[*] Generally it is expected that we obey and then command. With Discipline one can always command.
[*] Adore your parents. You’ll miss them when they’re gone.
[*] Practice might not lead to perfection but certainly makes you better.
[*] When you don't allow daily situations to corrupt you. Integrity forms inside you.
[*] Truth can never be sugar-coated. Remain silent rather than hurting someone.
[*] Leisure time spent away from TV and technology helps rejuvenate.
[*] Health & Fitness should never take backseat however gruelling the circumstances maybe.
[*] Gen-Next might always seem to be lazy and entitled but recognizing that they are earnest, optimistic and far more responsive creates harmony.
[*] Greatness isn't determined by data; it's determined by how we respond to the challenges posed against us. 12 years of extreme adversity and still how a person can empower himself to the top is what defines a leader.

Faith Merchants

Recently the debate is on that during immense stress who should be preferred psychiatrist or Godmen.
A man went to a psychiatrist as he was stressed about a dream. He narrates about dreaming each day that he is going on a walk, a beautiful girl smiles and passes him. He increases his pace to follow but by the time he catches up the girl gets to her place opens the door, gets inside and closes it. He emphasizes that this happens every day. The psychiatrist says that he needs to sleep well to get rid of this stressful dream. The man replied that it wasn't the dream but the closed door that was causing stress. He wanted that door opened.
The point is whether we want to live our dream or go on beautifying them.
The Godmen convince that the door can be opened
Psychiatrist absolves the dream itself.
Religion in fact gives direction to understand and realize the dream.
While we are trying to save The God from the Godmen, we forget that it was God who created the Godmen and is responsible for their peril.
Religion is about living the virtues and not just preaching them.

Quality

Quality is perceived in different ways depending on nature of object. To define quality we have to understand the relationship to where it is applied. The corporate version gives the understanding in terms of getting things right for the first time. The room for trial and error is covered by the seen through or lived through experiences.
When asked quality is described in terms of standards and how close can one get to it. For some it is the difference between doing something nearly right…or doing it exactly right.  The point is then what drives quality. Most of the time we use brain storming, defect analysis and other methods. What we in fact are doing is creating awareness. To begin with we can hence say Quality is an event which takes place where the subject is aware of the object.
One thing about driving quality which seems to be an anomaly is the fact that drivers used for human beings being same as machines. The fact is that efficiency is relative with machines. The output-input, speed and other factors involved to produce efficiency cannot be associated with human beings.
The fact of the matter is that human beings evolve and to go against the evolution of things is to go against one's own self. The yearn to enhance quality is itself human and can be derived by enhancing the value aspect for life.

Happy Mother's Day

The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.
When I was born my mother reinvented herself to my existence. She went on doing this for me her entire life.
When I grew to my teens I stopped seeing my mother with the eyes of a child & began judging instead of loving. Her face mirrored my deeds so extensively that I saw the woman who helped me give birth to myself. My height was short for my age. I was often told to be like my mother. Later I grew tall like my father but fell short of my mother' s heart A large heart - a heart so large that everybody's joys found welcome in it, I saw neighbors & friends alike thronging to her for consolation in sorrow,  hope in misery, and strength in weakness. Superlative optimism was embodied in her deeds.

I somehow managed to make things difficult for myself. Although it caused lot of trouble to her but she kinda enjoyed it and somehow got me through rendering my heart of comfort, happiness, and well being. Her words of wisdom may be forgotten at times but the essence will always be a part of my being.

Mama was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness.
Will & Courage make you successful but being   simple with humility makes one Awesome.

My Mother was AWESOME.

Amritsar

Amritsar The city of my ancestors.
Amritsar is known all over the world for Golden Temple. When anyone uses the phrase Golden Temple somewhere the emphasis on gold undermines the fact that gold is mere synonym for purity. I would rather go for Harminder Sahib as it signifies this place of worship.
One fact which is not known by many who visit this city is the Durgiana Temple which has embodied the spirituality beyond mere belief systems.
Amritsar is a place where Hari OM TATSAT and IK OMKAAR SATNAAM meet.
The city is high on culture and patriotism. Beyond tourist destinations we Amritsaris have our significant traits. Wherever the Ambersariya goes his heart rules over the mind. The relaxed but focussed approach. Our food....
Amritsaris have undergone genetic mutation as far as eating out is concerned. Eating out is a ritual for them. Jaa Choley hi le aa. Ghaar di dal Fukhri lag rayi heh. Paneer pakode for evenings. Mathee achaar. The list never ends. The city has to cater to this immense gastronomical urge and has lived upto it. No wonder is a foodie pilgrimage.
